Coming Soon...To a Blog Near You!

The continuation of our story...Which I am aptly naming "Blood and Steel"...not sure why...just thought it fit...so...I am not going to synopsize this time...I suck at synopsizing...so...yeah...you'll just have to remember for yourself! Oh... and let me know what you think of the title...if you like it...if you don't...and suggestions...etc. Well...I am now going to continue with the story...We ended with Maya being captured, she is now tied to a chair in an empty room, laughing hystarically...

I wiped the tears off on my shoulders. Then tried to put on my game face. Through the door walked the biggest man I had ever seen. He had to stoop to get through the door, and door frames are 7'. His shoulders were so wide he had to twist his upper body to make it through. I suddenly felt very small, and had no problem chocking back the repainder of my laughter. I had a feeling that laughing would only make this man angry...and I did not want to see him angry.

As he loomed above me I distictly had a vision of times past where my father stood over top of me, but instead of raising my arms in glee, I shrunk back. There was something in the air; his scent. There was something there, something forgotten. Trying to keep myself from shrinking away I try to go through the files in my mind and find, to my shock and horror, that there is some missing.

I tried not to let my panic get the best of me, tried to choke it down, push it as far from me as I could. I felt my face slip into that blank stare that cops are so good at, all emotion drained from my eyes as that mountain of a man lumbered forward. I felt my throat close around a scream as he raised one big beefy hand out to me. He placed it on my shoulder and my skin crawled.

"How has little Maya has grown." His voice was deep and soothing, like a father figure should be. I stayed in my doll-like station, "Now my dear girl it would do you well to co-operate or..." he squeezed my shoulder until I sucked in a sharp breath, "you might end up like your father."

I paused, "Why should I ever help you?" I unconsiously narrowed my eyes up at him.

"Because my dear girl," his hand slipped beneath my jaw as another held out a poloroid, "I have more leverage than you do."

(((Since no one has made an addition in a while)))

I glanced over to the poleriod and gasped. Cole was tied to a chair, his nose was broken, blood covering the white shirt. A person behind him was holding his head up by the hair so that he could face the camera. "A shame really. He was such a good looking guy, you have a good taste Maya. How unfortunate for him." I looked away and down from the picture. "Now he still breathes, but only as long as you co-operate. Now be a good girl and answer me. Where are the papers and where is the jewel?"

"I don't know what you are takling about." I felt a cold calm wash over me. I had some choices to make. I could ruin my whole opperation, exposing everyone involeved, or I could lose Cole. I retreted to that safe place in my head, the one I could kill from, my cold center. The big man back handed me, almost casually. It rocked my head back, almost tipping over the chair. I tasted blood.

"Careful you idiot! Don't kill her!"

"I didn't hit her that hard!" The big man said.

"Now, now, now." A thin man stepped out from the shadows. "You're not hard is enough to snap someone neck. Anyways violence will make her retreat, instead of having her help us."

He turned to me and what I saw made me come out of my hiding spot. "Father." I whispered in a breath.
